REALTORS® Care Blanket Drive

November 28 – December 3, 2007 Get ready for the 13th Annual REALTORS® Care Blanket Drive. Between November 28th and December 3rd, participating real estate offices of the Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Chilliwack & District Real Estate Boards are collecting donations for people in need of warmth this winter. The Blanket Drive is looking to collect clean blankets, tarps, sleeping bags, and warm clothing of all shapes and sizes. Donations are distributed through local charities, churches and community service organizations. For a list of these charities and a list of donation drop-off locations, go to www.realtorscare.org. Since 2002, the number of homeless has tripled and there are more and more homeless children and families according to Vital Signs® 2007. Thanks to the generosity of local residents and the efforts of volunteer REALTORS®, 3,365 bags of donations were collected for people in need in Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley last year. This year, we are asking for your help in making this another warm holiday for individuals in poverty.
